Coming Out isn't always some huge drama or emotional wrench; it's just a 'thing' and then it's done with.

It's a non-issue for me and by this day and age, I would hope that this is true of 99% of gay people's experience. My story is not interesting, dramatic or life-changing. I was having a conversation with my mother about being on a TV show with my friend and his boyfriend and dropped in "you do know I'm gay don't you?" to which she answered "yes". That was pretty much it? No fall-out, no tears, no anger, just "Yes". I wouldn't say my family are extraordinarily accepting or liberal, they just see me for me.
