​RUComing Out has joined up with the fantastic theatre show 46 Beacon for a special evening of theatre and discussion on Wednesday 12th of April.

Making its West End debut, 46 Beacon, is a coming-of-age and coming-out play set in 1970’s America. Written by Drama Desk and Richard Rodgers Award winner Bill Rosenfield, directed by Alexander Lass and starring Oliver Coopersmith and Jay Taylor, 46 Beacon is the story of that night your life was forever changed.  

Friends of RUComing Out will not only be able to get discounted tickets to see the play but on the night of 12th April they will also be treated to a special Q&A after the show, featuring both Bill Rosenfield, Alexander Lass and cast members Oliver Coopersmith and Jay Taylor. The Q&A will be hosted by author and journalist Matthew Todd and will discuss issues explored in the play, as well as current issues within the LGBT community.

Synopsis
The address is 46 Beacon. The place is 1970s Boston. Alan and Robert spend a balmy July evening hoping for a connection, emotional or physical?  46 Beacon charts their quest in Bill Rosenfield’s fresh, funny and moving script.
Set within a theatrical hotel, Robert has invited Alan back to his room and although they are at different stages of their lives, they each have something the other yearns for. But are they willing to give it? 

46 Beacon is the story of that night your life was forever changed.
